Walking
Marval is a haven for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering trails suitable for all skill levels. Just a two-minute walk from La Grange du Saule, you'll find yourself at the forest's edge, ready to explore a network of trails suitable for both challenging adventures and relaxing family walks, offering something for every type of explorer. Walkers and wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the unspoilt beauty, tranquil lakes, and vibrant wildlife hidden among the forest. Many designated walking routes are well-signposted but for guidance we recommend these websites/apps or visit local Tourist information offices.

Cycling
La Grange du Saule is nestled in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, offering excellent roads and cycle paths for outdoor activities. For a family-friendly option, the “Voie Verts” (old railway routes) are reserved for non-motorised travel like pedestrians and cyclists. These paths are practical, safe and enjoyable, whether by bike, horseback, reduced mobility or simply on foot, everyone can move at their own pace.
The nearest Voie Vert to Marval is in La Flow Velo, Nontron or La Voie Vert, Oradour-Sur–Vayres.

Velorails
If you’re looking for something different, try Velorail. Hire 4-5 seater carts and pedal along disused railway tracks, either manually or with electric assistance. It’s a fantastic family activity to explore the areas beautiful corners in a fun way.
